The P.H.O.N.E. Line (Peers helping others needing support)

  • The teacher at your child's schools told you that your child is struggling in class and suggested that she/he get counseling and you have searched for weeks, but can not find a "good match".
  • You have read books, prayed and tried every parenting technique that you could find out about, yet your child is still struggling.
  • It's the middle of the night and you feel so alone. You are sure that no one else in the world has a child who acts likes your child. You have reached out for help, but there seems to be none available. You want to give up.
  • It's 2:00 AM and your teenager knows that curfew is 11:30, where is she/he? You feel like YOU did something wrong. You can't call your friend or neighbor, because they might think that you should be able to better control your child.
  • It's Sunday morning again and you really want to go to church, but you are sure that there is not one that will accept your child. You are not sure where to turn.
  • Phone line responders are trained family members and all calls are kept confidential!
